![]() Can you find Burundi on a map? Many of Mission View's third, fourth, and fifth graders will be able to, thanks to their involvement in The Passport Club. Each month, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders participating in Passport choose a level of difficulty and receive a corresponding map. There are 5 levels for students to choose from, ranging from the memorization of 5 countries, to as many as 30! You can get involved by helping your child study their take-home map and by volunteering on Mission View's Passport check days. Students who are able to identify all of the countries on a given level are rewarded with a passport stamp. Even some of Mission View's teachers have been challenging themselves and each other with this test every month! This is a fun, collaborative way to learn geography! The Passport Club at is a rotary-sponsored program, designed by a grade school teacher and built out of enthusiasm for geography. It was introduced at Centennial Elementary in Olympia, Washington and has spread to over 110 schools in twelve states. Get involved with Passport Club! Volunteers are always appreciated! |
