SUMMER NEWS:
Our office will be closed for the summer beginning Monday, June 23rd.  Our office will open again on Tuesday, August 19th from 9-12 and 1-3.  Please stop by before the office closes to check the lost and found.  All leftover items will be donated to charity on June 23rd.  If you have a student for Kindergarten in September, please come in and get them registered before the office closes.

LOST AND FOUND:
Our lost and found is overflowing again.  Please come and check to see if items be long to your children.  Everything will be cleared out and donated at the end of May.

Can you find Burundi on a map?

Many of Mission View's third, fourth, and fifth graders can, thanks to their involvement in The Passport Club.

Each month, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders participating in Passport choose a level of difficulty and receive a corresponding map. There are 5 levels for students to choose from, ranging from the memorization of 5 countries, to as many as 30! You can get involved by helping your child study their take-home map and by volunteering on Mission View's Passport check days. Students who are able to identify all of the countries on a given level are rewarded with a passport stamp. Even some of Mission View's teachers have been challenging themselves and each other with this test every month! This is a fun, collaborative way to learn geography!

The Passport Club at is a rotary-sponsored program, designed by a grade school teacher and built out of enthusiasm for geography. It was introduced at Centennial Elementary in Olympia, Washington and has spread to over 110 schools in twelve states.

Get involved with Passport Club! Volunteers are always appreciated!

LUNCHROOM NOTE:
You may have noticed your child coming home with a paw print stamped on his/her hand.  This is a reminder to parents that your child is very low on lunch money and will need to bring more the next day.
