LIBRARY NEWS
|
I'm pleased to announce that the library has received a grant to
support math and science through literature. That means we have a site
license to read electronic books (e-books), compliments of Sylvan Dell
Publishing Company throughout this school year. Thanks to our
wonderful TRT, Mrs. Richmond, these books can be accessed at school AND
at home, through our school website. Reading the e-books is
absolutely free! However, if you choose to purchase a hard copy
of one of the books, or other items from the Sylvan Dell online store,
Mission View earns 10% of the purchase price toward a site license next
year. More information will be coming home with your child during
the first week of November, but the link has already been set-up.
Have fun at home with another way to read!
The library is a busy place. While we have excellent student
helpers after school, we could really uses some adult volunteers!
If you have some time during the school day on Thursday or Friday,
please contact teacher-librarian, Donna Wendt
(wendt.d@mail.wsd.wednet.edu or 663-5851). I could put you to
work in our great library helping our terrific kids. I, too, would
really appreciate your help.
